F-35A Jet Purchase

I understand concerns for the impact this decision has for the UK and its nuclear defence programme. That being said it is not currently government policy to diverge from this in light of heightened international tensions. I also understand that the purchase of F-35As was a decision taken to ensure compliance with our collective obligations as a NATO member state. I believe that it’s important that these questions are kept under regular review to ensure that our defence policy is appropriate and I will continue to voice this as your MP.
